Mix of exhibitions throughout town

ENGAGING and thought-provoking exhibitions have become a feature of Kanturk Arts Festival and this year there is, once again, plenty to attract the eye.
As usual, the Invited Artists exhibition - with Leonard Graham, Maria Dowling and Mallow Camera Club - in O'Callaghan's Toyota showroom forms part of the opening night on Friday, and it's always a great night of art and socialising. The exhibition continues throughout the weekend at the showrooms.
The Kanturk Credit Union Schools' Street Exhibition, an exhibition of almost 300 works by students from schools in Kanturk, Lismire,
Kilbrin, Castlemagner and Banteer, are displayed throughout the festival in businesses in Kanturk, bringing colour to the whole town.
Category Winners for this competition are displayed in Percival St in the town.
There's also the Open Art Exhibition on display in Kanturk Library, supported by Cork County Council, and can be seen during library hours.
Finally, there's the Photography Exhibition in Kanturk Credit Union on Strand St, which can be accessed during credit union opening hours. This is open to everyone and the festival has this year especially encouraged amateur photographers who have never before shown their photographs to the public to exhibit their favourite images.
