Mcgrath's Charleville Free legal aid service opens

A RECENT addition on offer at the Charleville Citizens' Information office is a free legal aid advice (FLAC) service, which is now available to those who require it locally.
The service, which promotes access to justice, has been developed by the Money Advice & Budgeting Service (MABS) and the Citizens Information Service, working together with FLAC and with local legal professionals.
The service in Charleville is intended for those who cannot afford to pay for a legal consultation. It will provide the opportunity for people to meet with a legal advisor who can help establish whether there is a legal solution to their problem. The options open to them will be explained and they will also receive direction on where to get further assistance where necessary.
This is only one of the services available at the Charleville Citizens Information office, which is now open only on one day a week, every Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm. Here Josephine Staunton and Joe Fox are available to people seeking the answers to their questions regarding social welfare, tax matters, housing applications, health issues and immigration matters and those seeking Irish citizenship.
Many non-nationals from outside EU countries - such as Brazil, China and Moldova, to mention but some - have acquired Irish citizenship through the auspices for the Charleville office and are now living and working locally.
