AS part of the Transition Year Programme in McEgan College 14 students along with two members of the teaching staff went on a school trip to Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre recently.
Cappanalea is found in the heart of the famous ring of Kerry in a picturesque location on the mountainous shores of Caragh Lake.
This trip was the highlight of the TY Calender and had been something the group had been leading up to over the last few months. It was an overnight trip and included a range of adventure sports and field study activities.
Team building and co-operation was an important aspect of the excursion. Even though the weather was windy and wet the spirits weren't dampened and everybody had a thoroughly enjoyable two days.
