Gardai ID gun man in Banteer pub shooting

GARDAI have identified a man who walked into a bar in Banteer and shot another man in the neck with a pellet gun last weekend.

Gardai have also recovered the pellet gun which is being forensically examined.

The injured 35-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries from the pellet gun at the White Country Inn in Banteer just after 8pm on Sunday night.

The premises was very busy at the time as a barbecue was being held.

CCTV footage was obtained by Gardai and statements were taken by customers who were in the bar at the time.

While inquiries are ongoing, no arrest has of yet been made.
