A FORMER Fermoy restaurant has failed to sell at the latest Allsop Space property auction.
The auction, held in Dublin, saw a number of properties going under the hammer, including the Juniper Restaurant and Poachers Lodge on Kent St in Fermoy.
The reserve on the 3,000 sq ft building, which incorporates a bar, restaurant and two one-bedroom apartments, was set not to exceed €190,000, but the property failed to find any bidders, as did a mid-terrace building on Newmarket St, just off Pearse Square. The four, one-bedroom apartment building's reserve price was €100,000.
Meanwhile, in Mitchelstown, two long leasehold mid-terrace investment buildings, together with a rear terrace bungalow, next to the Ramble Inn on Baldwin Street sold for €257,500, from a reserve of €180,000.
The cheapest price paid at the entire auction was for a two bedroom detached bungalow in Charleville, which sits on a 0.133 acre site. Its reserve price was €15,000 but it sold for €33,000.
