MEMBERS of Banteer Drama Group, who have to date raised over €39,000 for various charities, will be donating a percentage of the profits from their new play to the Chernobyl Children's Project

The disgraceful antics of the bold hussy Nancy O'Grady, and the ensuing repercussions for her heart scalded parents, who own a sibín in West Cork, will be portrayed by this talented group when they debut their brand new season with 'The Destiny of Fools' on this Friday night, November 8.

Rehearsals have been ongoing for the past couple of months with the group departing from their usual single act plays in favour of a three act production by Mitchelstown playwright Michael Dennehy.

The 20-strong cast under the direction of Noreen Duggan features some of the drama group's best loved and established actors, as well as introducing some new faces to the stage.

Banteer Drama Group will raise the curtain on 'The Destiny of Fools' this Friday at 8:30pm sharp with further performances on Sunday, November 10, Saturday, November 16 and Sunday November 17th. Tickets can be booked from The Glen Theatre or purchased at the door.

Further enticing events coming up at the theatre include 'The Voice of the Glen' which will give singers who are nominated by GAA organisations, clubs, and pubs a platform to showcase their talents on stage, with the chance of winning €1,000 along with €500 for the organisation which nominates them.
