Irish comedians Neil Delamere, pictured, and Jason Byrne have both recently filed accounts.

THE inimitable Neil Delamere is set to made a welcome return to Cork with his new show 'Smartbomb' at the Cork Opera House on Saturday, March 29.

The star of BBCs 'The Blame Game' and 'Fighting Talk' as well as RTEs 'the Panel, Delamare is renowned for his astute observational anecdotes and razor sharp quips.

His hilarious new show is an assault on the senses that tackles a broad range of subjects including canine handling, e-mail viruses, Ireland's recession and the many improbable spats affable Edenderry man has encountered over the past 12-months.

The man himself said the show was essentially "about six people who think slightly less of me this year than they did last year."

"I seem to go and have these minor skirmishes with random people throughout my life. To be honest, I am beginning to think it might be me rather than them," admitted Delamere.

With several platinum selling DVDs under his belt, Delamare's star has risen rapidly over recent years to the point where he has become one of Ireland's most successful and readily recognisable comedians.

Tickets for 'Smartbomb' at the Cork Opera House on Saturday, March 29 are available from the box office on 021 4270022 priced at €29/€27.50/€26.
