Cllrs to tackle minister on home help cuts

CORK County Councillors in the Fermoy area are to write to Health Minister James Reilly to demand that he does not make any cuts to home help services in the forthcoming budget.

The letter comes on foot of a motion by councillors Frank O'Flynn and Noel McCarthy, who proposed the idea at this week's meeting of the Council's Fermoy Area Committee and follows a protest by Home Help carers through the town last weekend.
