SPECSAVERS in Mallow has once again teamed up with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind to support the charity's 2013 Christmas campaign.
All 44 Specsavers stores across Ireland will be selling the IGDB's Christmas cards and 2014 calendars with all funds 'going to the dogs', as it were, raising vital funds for the charity.
The Guide Dogs is encouraging people to follow in Today FM Mairead Farrell's footsteps by ensuring the 2014 Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Calendar is on top of everyone's Christmas gift list this festive season.
The beautifully designed calendar features puppies and dogs in adorable, seasonal themed shots, making it the perfect stocking filler.
'We are hoping customers will support us in our fundraising efforts this Christmas and help us to raise much-needed funds for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind,' said Store Director of Specsavers Mallow, Iain MacCallum.
'Guide dogs are life-changing partners for people in Ireland who are living with sight loss.
'All funds raised by Specsavers and their customers will be going towards the cost of care and training of pups and their development into fully qualified guide dogs.'
As the charity relies on public support for over 80 per cent of its income, Specsavers is hoping that the public will help them to support the campaign and give generously in the lead up to Christmas.
