Breda is Ovens' $12 million woman

AN Ovens business development manager is celebrating this week, having picked up an international award in recognition of her sales work.

Breda Twohig of with ARAMARK Ireland, was recently honoured at the ARAMARK Global Sales Conference held in Orlando, Florida, where she was honoured for her exemplary sales performance in Ireland.

Breda has worked with ARAMARK Ireland for over 12 years and has delivered over $12 million dollars of new business in Ireland and managed an impressive 100% client retention during 2011/2012.

ARAMARK is essentially a cooked food production and distribution company that also branches out into presentation and receptions.

Speaking to The Corkman, Breda said she was thrilled with her award. She explained that her job involves pitching facility management proposals to clients and businesses.

"It's brilliant to get the award, especially as it is globally recognised," she said.

Breda had very simple advice for those looking to emulate her sales success.

"Be yourself, be honest and be transparent. I know it's often said, but passion is important. But you cannot just sell and walk away, you have to follow through on your promises.

"It's about building trust, selling an idea and delivering it," she said.

Donal O'Brien, CEO of ARAMARK Ireland praised Breda as a dedicated and enthusiastic worker.

"As well as being a fantastic sales person she is also a great advocate for health and wellness within ARAMARK, and she is deeply committed to creating awareness of healthy eating habits," he said.
