Booster programme for North Cork start-ups

THE North Cork Enterprise Board is currently seeking expressions of interest from clients who are interested in partaking in a Business Start Programme in Charleville.

The objective is to work with a group of 15 people who wish to develop their own business in North Cork.

A programme co-ordinator will assist in providing training mentoring, advice, contacts and general support to the 15 new businesses over the course of a six month period.

The programme will assist with several areas of the business including business planning, marketing, sales and finance.

Ideally, clients should be up and running with 6-12 months and should already have completed a start your own business programme, or should have other relevant training in the area of starting a business. Details of the programme include: Starting in early 2013. A maximum of 15 North Cork participants will be recruited for the programme.

The programme is for those with a very specific business idea who have ideally already completed a Start Your Own Business Programme.

It is aimed at those who can fully commit to a six month programme.

Open to service and manufacturing type businesses from all sectors.

Open to North Cork clients (those based within catchment areas).

The programme will run in Charleville town.

A programme co-ordinator will be appointed to manage the programme's delivery including and number of training workshops, one to one mentoring and overall support to the participants.

The programme will entail a number of half day and full days of group training. A number of mentoring hours will be allocated to each participant depending on his/her needs.

There is also a marketing grant to encourage you to develop your marketing material during the programme - worth €250 to your business.

A fee of €200 will apply to each participant on the programme.

The deadline for receipt of applications is January 31. Interviews to ascertain interested applicants suitability for the programme will take place in February.
