Blarney gears up for St Patrick's Day
BLARNEY extends a welcome to patron for its St. Patrick's Day Parade that commences from Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál at 3pm sharp.
The Parade will proceed past the Blarney Filling Station and into the village where it will pass the reviewing stand in the centre of the village. In keeping with tradition, currrent Blarney Person of the Year John O'Donoughue is Grand Marshal.
All community, voluntary and school groups can participate in the Parade free of charge.
A full vintage display take places at Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal (Secondary School grounds commencing from 11am to 6pm, hosted by the recently formed Mid Cork Vintage Club.
All static engines and other vintage items are encouraged to participate free of charge.
Market stalls will be set up on the parking area in front of the Post Office.
Children's rides and amusements will also be available within the grounds of Blarney Auto Centre.
Entertainment will be on offer on the reviewing stand in the centre of the village before and after the parade.
A free Park and Ride bus will be available, to and from Blarney Business Park, from 1pm to 6pm. Patrons are encouraged to use this service and keep the entry and exit roads to Blarney free of parking.
