Oíche Ghaeilge Áth Trasna:
The third meeting of Oíche Ghaeilge Áth Trasna, will be held on Sunday, April 7, at 8pm in Scully's bar.
The idea behind the night is to bring people together to speak a little bit of Irish - it's a very laid back group and all levels of Irish are welcome.
We ask that you bring a short story, poem or song as ghaeilge to the next meeting - nothing more than two minutes - just to give everyone a chance to speak a few words. Hope to see you there.
DAFFODIL Day 2013 is on Friday, March 22. Last year people responded wholeheartedlly and raised an amazing €3.8 million for cancer services.
This support enabled the Irish Cancer Society to offer free night nursing to thousands of patients allowing them to spend their final days with their loved ones at home. It also meant that it could continue to fund research into better ways to diagnose and treat cancer.
So your support and help will be greatly appreciated on the day.
