15 new jobs created as Aldi opens new Charleville store

Charleville got its second German discount store last week when Aldi opened its 103rd store in Ireland and the 15th in County Cork, in the town on last Thursday morning, creating 15 new jobs in the process.

Commenting on the opening of their new store, manager Shane Liddy said they were delighted to open in Charleville and looked forward to welcoming many new customers from the local area. "We will be offering our customers a carefully selected range of exclusive own label brands at very competitive prices, which will be guaranteed every week," he said.

The products on offer will include those which have won Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards and the Great Taste Awards from 2009 to 2013, as well as winning ten awards at the inaugural Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards. Aldi was also named as Ireland's leading fresh food discounter at both the 2011 and 2012 Checkout Best in Fresh Awards.
