Buttevant Community Council of Muintir na Tire is currently in the process of updating it's campaign to lobby the relevant authorities regarding the repair of the main street and it's side streets and also the upgrading and necessary repair to the local footpaths.
To say that the main street is a disgrace is an under-statement and is an embarrassment as a main thoroughfare on the main Cork to Limerick route.
The condition of the local footpaths are a disaster waiting to happen.
There have been several persons injured as a result of falling due to the conditions of the pavements and there will be no doubt in the near future many claims filed against the local authority.
All residents are asked to support the community council in their protest campaign.
