Wren Boy Donations

THE Wren Boy groups who started out from Meelin Village on St. Stephens Day visited neighbouring townlands during the day, where they were very well received.

The adult group continued that night in the pubs in Newmarket and Kanturk and in total raised a phenomenal €2,226 for Pieta House.

This cheque was recently presented to Mary Stack who will now add this to the total collected from the Christmas Day swim in Newmarket.

This will then be presented to Pieta House, Cork as soon as all the monies are in. A huge thank you to all involved.

The organisers would love to see more children and adults take part in this Wren Boy tradition next year, thus increasing the amount raised for charity and also a fun way of passing St. Stephen's Day.
