McDonald's Mallow again supplied very welcome refreshments while Brid Boag, along with her kids collected two bags of litter around the River Valley Estate and Spa Glen.

Two more volunteers cleaned the ditch at St Gobnait's / Avondale Park area - seven bags were collected in total, three of which consisted of empty cider and beer bottles.

Mallow Tidy Towns (MTT) would be delighted to hear from residents' associations and estates who wish to improve their areas. MTT can help with pickers, bags, etc.

Meanwhile, Tommy O'Connell has taken it upon himself to keep a stretch of the Old Cork Road free of litter. He filled three big bags on Saturday and filled another three bags last Thursday. If anyone would like to join Tommy, please do.

The group will be back at the Bridge Street/Park Road site on Saturday at 10.30am where tree planter boxes will be positioned, which will be followed by tree setting.

For further information please contact MTT through the website (www.mallowtidytowns.weebly.com), or the Facebook page, by email (mallowtidytowns@gmail.com) or by texting 087 6359944.
