The Darkness into Light walk

The Darkness into Light walk takes place this Saturday 11th May at 4am, starting in the beautiful grounds of U.C.C.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact John Corkery at 087 2550340 for travel arrangements or other information. Pieta House , preventing suicide and self harm crisis centre, are a non-profit organization offering an accessible and free-of-charge counselling service.

Bingo

Bingo every Monday night at 8.30pm. Everybody welcome.

Lotto

Jackpot €5,000 The lotto draw took place on Sunday night at the Seven Elms Pub for a jackpot of €4,950, lucky numbers drawn were 12, 14, 22 and 34. There was no winner of the jackpot and lucky dip winners were Alan Shiell, Garrison, Margo Pigott, Corbally, Marie Spinx, Ballybane, Jack Field, Ballygraddy and Anne Heffernan, Kilbrin. Next draw takes place in the Social Club on Sunday 19th May for a jackpot of €5,000, any club member, players or member of the public wishing to buy tickets should contact ticket sellers to get their ticket and to be in with a chance of scooping the jackpot, in recent weeks we have had people with three of the four numbers. If you are not in you can't win. Everyone welcome to come along on the draw night.

Hurling

Our junior hurlers had a good win over Tullylease on Monday last in the JHL, Kilbrin got off to a bad start and were down 1-4 to no score within a short space of time but they recovered well and ran out comfortable winners by 2-15 to 1-10.

Football

Kilbrin footballers were due to play Boherbue on Friday night last in the Ducon Cup JFL but were unable to field a team due to a number of players doing exams, injuries and work commitments. Boherbue were awarded the points.

Fixtures On Friday evening next in Kilbrin our hurlers take on Banteer in the JHL, this game is timed for 7.30pm.

Sympathy

Kilbrin GAA club would like to extend sincere sympathy to the O' Riordan and Dennehy Families on the death of Michael O' Riordan in Bermingham, England. Sympathy is also extended to the Twomey Families of Rockchapel and Meelin on the sad death of Connie Twomey May they Rest in Peace.

Kilbrin club hosted some games at the weekend, On Saturday evening we saw Cill na Martra overcome Kildorrery in a Cork County IFC game and on Sunday we hosted two U13 football finals, Granard Gaels defeated Doneraile and Kanturk were victorious against Pobal Uí Chaoimhe. . The Club would like to wish all who are sitting exams or currently studying for exams.
