The threat of snow didn't dampen the spirits of all those who braved the elements to attend this annual event organised by the Development Group.

A great day's entertainment was provided with singers, musicians, set dancers. It was great to see the youth and the elderly blending so well on the dancing floor.

A cold plate was provided this year which went down a treat. Many thanks to all who helped, donated and provided in any way to make this event a great success.

This Sunday Fr. Crean will become the new Bishop of Cloyne. We in Clondrohid wish him well. We will be represented at the Episcopal Ordination in Cobh.

A draw took place in the Hall last Sunday and the following names were drawn Eileen Buckley, the Village; Catherine O'Shea, Bridgemount; Mary Twomey, The Tce.; Con Walsh, Carriganima, and Bridget Connolly was also given a ticket for all her work as a sacristan.

We wish to congratulate local girl Denisa Kearney who has achieved huge heights in her singing career. She got straight through to the Munster finals of the All Ireland Schools Talent Search.

This is a huge achievement for Denisa who attends McEgan College in Macroom and spends her lunch times working on her music both playing and singing.

The final is on in Limerick on Saturday, January 26.

Our good wishes go with her.

Well done to all those who travelled from Clondrohid and surrounding parishes to Dublin last Saturday to take part in this very important vigil.
