Sleep out for Trocaire

THIRTY-TWO Transition Year students from Millstreet Community School endured n a twelve hour ' sleep out' in the open air, outside Millstreet Parish Church earlier this week (see pic below left).
The venture rose awareness and raising funds for the 2012 Trócaire Lenten Campaign titled, Rebuilding Lives, Creating Futures. It focuses on the situation that faces communities in northern Uganda who are returning home after twenty years of attacks by a rebel army that forced them from their homes in the first place.
They have to rebuild schools, hospitals and also having to come to terms with the trauma of the vicious attacks they endured. Trócaire is supporting the communities in this process.
The Millstreet students decided to hold a sleep out as a small way of showing solidarity with the people in northern Uganda.
