THE Community Council are holding their annual table quiz this weekend.
The table quiz will take place in each of the three villages, Aghabullogue, Coachford and Rylane on Saturday night at 8.30pm. The table quiz will feature teams of four. The quiz is open to everyone.
The Aghabullogue quiz takes place in Cremin's Bar. Hogan's Bar will host the Coachford quiz while Rylane's brightest will gather in the Anvil Bar.
The winning team in each venue will then play off against each other to win the overall prize of the Community's brightest people.
Coachford Active Retirement Group have recommenced a lot of their activities for the new year.

Congratulations to the Premier team who enjoyed a 4-1 defeat of Greenwood in the league last weekend. This was a great start to the new year and sets the lads up for their fourth round AOH Cup tie this Saturday when they play Douglas Hall in Moneygourney at 7.30pm.
The B team travel to Millstreet to take on local side Los Zarcos in the league at 2pm. The schoolboys are back in action this weekend. The under-12 Killanardrish/Coachford side entertain Midleton at 10.30am on Saturday in Carrigadrohid.
There was no winner of the Coachford AFC lotto this week and the jackpot now stands at a massive €3,400. The numbers drawn were 15, 27, and 34.
The luck dip winners were Pat Fitgibbon (€40) and Con Murphy (yt), Tony O Callaghan, Molly O Connell, Kaitlyn Bradley. All received €20 each. Next week's draw in O'Callaghan's Bar.
The GAA club are collecting scrap metal and are asking people to have a look in sheds, garages and out houses for any metal objects that may no longer be in use and that could be donated to the club to help out with their finances. For more contact the runaí on (086) 3831934.
