Popular bank man leaving town

Published 15/11/2012 | 10:46

"JUST when he had found his feet in the local Community, came the news of his transfer to Dungarvan of popular Ulster Bank Manager David Valentine". So said the current Chairman of Fermoy Business Action Group Noel McCarthy when he heard the news last week.

David is the former and first Chairman of the FBAG in which he played a big part in both past and very successful Winter Wonderland events in the local Town Park, he has also been to the forefront in promoting the slogan "Try Fermoy First" campaign to urge shoppers to shop local especially at Christmas,

Noel says that David is well known and liked by the people of Fermoy and suggested that Fermoy's loss will certainly be Dungarvan's gain. One local club who will be hoping that he will not be lost to them also is the Fermoy Rugby club with whom David is very involved with especially at juvenile level. We wish him all the best of luck in his new appointment.
