Looking ahead to ladies night
ONE of the big nights on the Millstreet social calendar is the annual Women's Little Christmas Party, which has been confirmed for Friday, January 3 in the Wallis Arms Hotel.
Tickets at €25 each go on sale on Friday, November 1 in Millstreet GAA Hall at 7pm. Enquiries to Mairead on 087/9031475. Early booking is advisable.
AUBANE STYLE COACHING
The second ladies evening, promoted by Aubane Social Club, is on Wednesday, November 13 with style coach and hairstylist Patsy O'Leary attending.
Patsy offers free one-to-one consultations on hair and clothing. On the night she will have a full range of her garments on display that can be pre-ordered that evening.
Please note, this not a sit down event - the Aubane Community Centre will be open from 6.30 to 9pm for patrons to pop in, browse and get consultation.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, November 5, a public meeting with members of an Garda Siochana takes place in the centre on devising means to keep safe over the winter months. The meeting kicks off at 8 pm.
Millstreet GAA are in the midst of supporting the Cork County Board promoted Clubs Fund Raising Draw with another new series underway.
The draw acts as a boost to the development of club facilities across the county in addition to enhancing the quality of gaelic games for youth at club and school level.
The draws take place on a monthly basis and feature an array of attractive cash and other prizes.
Millstreet GAA are indebted to the support of the public towards the fund raising draw over recent years.
The club welcome new participants-a year's subscription is €100 paid yearly or monthly. Further details on the draw are available from Club officers or draw co-ordinators.
