This is the perfect opportunity for new members to go along and find out for themselves what makes Lightbulb shine so brightly and this year they celebrate 10 years performing.
New and existing members are welcome and pizza and soft drinks for all those who attend.
COFFEE AT THE FARM
THE Farm, Grenagh will host a coffee morning this Saturday in aid of Marymount Hospice from 10am – 12.30pm.
Everyone is invited to go along and enjoy some farm fresh baking and tasty coffee at The Farm's café in aid of this worthy cause.
MUSKERRY TRAIN OF THOUGHT
A Marymount Hospice fundraising night will be held at the River Lee Hotel, Western Road, Cork on Tuesday, September 24 at 8 pm.
On the programme is a slide show presentation by Tim O'Brien on the historic and much loved Muskerry Tram era.
The setting is particularly appropriate as the terminus for the tram was at the Western Road and, indeed, at the location of the present day River Lee Hotel (formerly Jurys).
The Muskerry Light Railway system began in 1887 and ended in 1934 and served many parts of Mid-Cork, including Blarney, Donoughmore and Coachford.
There were many intermediary stops as well in an era that has fond memories for generations past.
VERY ACTIVE IN DONERAILE
Doneraile Active Retirement will have its next meeting on Monday, Sept 23 at 3pm in the community centre.
Please remember your raffle items for the "Gathering" on Tuesday, Sept 24.
The group would like everyone to join them on their walk on Monday, Sept 30 at 10am in the park, with coffee/tea in the Tea Rooms at 11am after the walk.
And they would appreciate all name's of those going to the ploughing championships on Thursday, Sept 26.
