Kiskeam players thanked for their efforts in 2012

KISKEAM GAA CLUB held a very enjoyable presentation night recently at The Wallis Arms Hotel, Millstreet.
Chairman John O'Sullivan thanked the players for their efforts throughout the year and various team managers who put so much time into the promotion of the club. Presentations were made to outgoing Chairman Richard Dennehy and Secretary Patrick O'Connor.
Long-serving defender James O'Connor was honoured for his dedication with special mention of his many trips from Dublin.
Billy Dennehy was the recipient of Player of the Year Award and received the Denis A Sheehan Memorial Shield from John Sheahan.
Junior B Manager Jimmy Dennehy presented medals to the championship winning team accompanied by fellow selectors Sam O'Sullivan, Maurice Angland and John Herlihy.
The chairman concluded the ceremonies by thanking the club sponsors and those who donated spot prizes for the night.
It was then on to the dancing for a most enjoyable night.
Kiskeam numbers were 3, 11 and 12. Lucky dips to Sean Angland, Tureenavoscane; Ann Marie O'Keeffe, Doneraile; Bernard Guiney, Tureenglanahea, and Elizabeth Cremin, Kiskeam North. Seller's prize to Noreen Murphy.
Dancing classes continue every Thursday night, 8pm. at the Old Schoolhouse in Foyle. This Friday, January 19, is a story-telling night commencing 8.30pm. Admission free, all welcome.
