Niall Mellon Township Trust. John and Nicholas Corkery travelled to Capetown, South Africa at the end of November 2012, they were among the 600 volunteers who work for one week to help in the building of houses for the poor in that region. In the last 10 years 100,000 people have been housed for the first time in their lives. It was John's 4th trip and Nicholas was on his 2nd visit, they said it is always an emotional & memorable trip. 2012 was the last year of work being done in Capetown, as the charity has completed its work there at the moment. This year the Niall Mellon Township Trust will begin work in Kenya, with the building and extending of schools and the building of houses for Irish teachers who will volunteer to go there to help in the teaching of children in the area. John has signed up to go along with his brother Nicholas and his son Jordan who will be making his first trip as a volunteer. There will be an event during the year to help raise funds which will go directly to the charity, we thank all the people who has supported us in the past, and look forward to your continued support in the future.
