Hi-speed schools

STUDENTS in secondary schools throughout Cork will all have "high end" connectivity by next September.

Minister for Communications Pat Rabbitte and Minister for Education Rurai Quinn said this week that every secondary school in Ireland will have access to 100Mbp/s connectivity by the beginning of the 2014/2015 school year.

"Completing the final phase of the national programme will mean that all our post-primary schools will have been equipped with top class, future proofed broadband," Minister Rabbitte said.
