Ballyhea National School is continuously expanding in pupil numbers and a €100,000 Grant was recently secured from the Department of Education for the building of an extra classroom. It was decided to build a second classroom now at a lower cost rather than starting construction again in the near future. Fundraising will be necessary to cover the cost and an explanatory letter will be sent to each household in the parish during the coming weeks.
