CORK duo Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson (aka Fish Go Deep) will celebrate 25 years in the music business with a series of events taking place in the city at the end of November.
Throughout the 1990's Fish Go Deep enjoyed a successful residency at Sir Henry's, introducing a generation of Irish clubbers to house music and hosting some of the biggest names on the underground circuit.
Since finishing their Sir Henry's residency in 2000, the duo has travelled widely, bringing their unique sound to clubs and festivals throughout Ireland, Europe and beyond.
They have also released two albums and more than 40 EPs on Go Deep, Ork and other labels and have mixed for house luminaries including Kerri Chandler, Alton Miller, Audio Soul Project, Latecomer, Charles Webster and Jamie Anderson.
Events included in the 'Go Deep - Twenty Five' celebrations will include two 'Go Deep' parties at the Pavilion on November 29 & 30 featuring ten solid hours of Cork's favorite house music.
'Memory and Forgetting' an exhibition of photos, flyers, and posters from the past 25 years cured by Tony Walsh will run in the Pavilion Bar from November 27, with performances of 'Deep', the acclaimed play set in and around Sir Henry's taking place in the Pavilion on November 27 & 28.
'So Far, So Deep' a compilation of Fish Go Deep productions and remixes featuring several previously unreleased tracks is also set to be release in early December.
