Dromtariffe Open invitation to all seniors

Open invitation to all senior people of Dromtariffe parish to the annual gathering on Sunday February 17th at 1pm. We annually celebrate the senior people of the parish with a Mass, blessing of the sick, a hot meal, drinks, entertainment and lots of chat.

GLEN THEATRE

Munster Final comes early this year when the Banteer Drama Group present the 2 act comedy "Stop it Nurse" written by Sam Cree. All patrons of the Glen will see the renowned rivalry of a Munster Final between Cork and Kerry come live on stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 15th, 16th and 17th commencing at 8.30pm. This is a play not to be missed and no doubt up to the usual high standard. For further information contact 029 56239.

DROMTARIFFE I.C.A.

Next meeting of Dromtariffe I.C.A. will take place on Tuesday February 19th at 8.30pm. Mary Hayes will attend with tubberware products at the Dromtariffe Parish Hall. Everybody Welcome.

Winter Competitions Result: At the Denis Horgan Bowling Club winter competitions Ned Kelleher and Tony Cronin had a bowl of odds to spare over Donal Cullinane and Anthony Cullinane. Paddy O Keeffe and Maurice Cashman beat Dan Doherty and John Breen for the last shot and beat Liam Casey and Damion Leonard for the last shot. Anthony Cullinane and Tony Cronin played Ned Kelleher and Timmy O Connor in a doubles score. It went to the wire with Cullinane and Cronin winning by a mere metre. Paddy O Keeffe and Liam Casey and John Breen beat Maurice Cashman and Dan O Doherty and Damion Leonard for the last shot. Donal Cullinane beat Donal Cashman for the last shot.

Monday-6pm to 7pm basketball (1st - 4th class), 7pm to 8pm basketball (5th & 6th class), 8pm to 9.30pm adult basketball.

Tuesday-5pm to 6pm Athletics, 6pm to 7pm soccer (1st - 4th class), 7.30pm to 8.30pm teenage basketball.

Wednesday - 5.30pm to 6.30pm junior activities, 6.45pm to 7.45pm
