Dripsey GAA Club, who are now entering their tenth season this year, celebrated in style last week when over 100 people attended their annual dinner dance at the Oriel Court Hotel.

They availed of the opportunity to honour the junior hurling team of 2005 who played in the club's first official outing in Ballincollig in March of that year, resulting in a win against the home side.

Former Cork hurling manager John Allen was the guest of honour on the night and he presented a memento to each of the players, many of whom are still playing and active members of the club.

For the record, the players were, Ray Moynihan, Brian McCarthy, John O'Mahony, Liam Buckley, John Hogan, Pat O'Riordan, Daniel Buckley, David Buckley (captain), Tom Ahern, John O'Riordan, Mark O'Sullivan, Ger Manley, Martin Foley, Diarmuid O'Riordan, Dave Hogan and the sub played was Martin O'Leary.
