Community School's TY students' 'Funny Money' takes to stage
MILLSTREET TY pupils at Millstreet Community School continue their annual drama presentation this Thursday night with the adaptation Ray Cooney's hilarious adaptation of 'Funny Money'.
Comedy lovers are in for two hours of inspired, demented bliss. Mild-mannered accountant husband Henry is about to celebrate a birthday but accidentally picks up a case of £735,000.
If getting the money was easy, keeping it proves harder, as not one but two police inspectors call and set off a frantic game of cat and mouse. Hilarious innuendo and a funny storyline contribute to an enjoyable production.
Joint producers Jennifer O'Donoughue and Margaret Buckley together with an enthusiastic cast have worked on the presentation for some months and the fruits of their labour is evident this week.
The curtains rise at 8pm in the school canteen whose size adds to the appeal of live drama. Cast members include Oisin Murphy, Eimer Piggott, Nathan Harman, Marie Farrell, Conor Twomey, Muireann Buckley, Edel Breen and Emma Kelleher.
