We run a free, volunteer delivered driving service called Care To Drive that provides transport for cancer patients to and from their hospital treatments.

Patients must be attending one of the hospitals participating in the Care to Drive scheme. The Care to Drive scheme has been partnered with the Mercy Hospital and Cork University Hospital to transport patients to and from their hospital treatments.

This is a free transport service, free to both the hospital and the patient.

The Irish Cancer Society are currently looking for volunteers in Cork County areas. Volunteers are paid 24 cents per km for fuel expenses, all tolls and €8 towards food. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Gail Flinter on 012310566 or email gflinter@irishcancer.ie
