Clean-up

There will be a final clean up at Clonfert Cemetery on Saturday, October 26 in preparation for November, the month of the Holy Souls.

Volunteers are asked to come along with lawnmowers, rakes etc.

It will be on from 10 a.m. -1 p.m.

DRAMA

There will be a drama meeting on Tuesday, October 22 at 8 p.m. in Castlecourt Centre, Island Road, Newmarket.

The group is always looking for new members, backstage and front of stage, so come along on the night.

GAA LOTTO

THE results of the lotto draw of October 14 were, numbers drawn: 9, 22, 23, 29.

There was no winner of the €4,300 jackpot.

Lucky dip winners were: €50 the Luceys, €30 each to Catherine Culloty, Michael Daly, Eamon Guerin and Steven Stack.

FUNDRAISER

The Guiney family, Killowen, would like to thank everybody who supported their afternoon tea fundraiser for Action Breast Cancer. The amount raised was €1,500.

Many thanks and the Guineys hope to see you all again at next year's event!

BRIDGE

Newmarket results: 1st Mary Gayer and Sheila Kelleher, 2nd Noreen O'Connell and Noreen Bourke, 3rd Jerry Daly and Jack Collins.

CLASSES

Drama classes will take place in Meelin Hall this Thursday, October 17 from 7.30 - 8.30 p.m.

It will be an eight week programme for all national school children from First Class upwards.

Classes will be reasonably priced and classes will be held by a local tutor.

It is hoped a staged production will take place over Christmas.
