Charleville Chamber and Iarnrod Eireann are combining to organize day outings from Charleville Train Station to locations such as Fota Wildlife Park Cork, Killarney or to attend Munster games at Thomond Rugby Stadium in Limerick or will consider other suggestions for destinations.
They will also organize evening train trips to Cork Opera House or the INEC in Killarney to attend one of the shows there throughout the summer months.
This is an ideal opportunity for local schools to organize a trip for students or for a club or community groups to organize an outing for its members who may travel in the comfort and safety of a luxury carriage to their destination.
Mr. Donagh Stack, Marketing Officer with Charleville Chamber said that they will also consider any suggestions from teachers or club officers on a destination and they will work out a special package with all-inclusive low cost tickets and special service trains to accommodate them.
The aim of the venture is to promote the use of Charleville Train Station as well as to provide an occasion where members of the community, organisations or community groups can travel and have a day out while keeping cost to a minimum..
"Charleville Chamber and Irish Rail have worked together to provide a special package for the event including all inclusive low cost tickets and special service trains. What we need is your feedback on what you would like to see happen and what numbers you could provide to participate in such an event," said Mr. Stack
