BUSINESS WOMEN from across the North Cork region have been encouraged to attend a Women In Business networking meeting taking place in Mallow.
Organised by the North Cork Enterprise Board, the meeting will kick off on Thursday, September 26, at 6.30 p.m. in the Mallow GAA complex at Carrigoon.
Key note speaker for the evening will be Fiona Kingston of Business Women Can (BWC) an initiative launched by Ulster Bank in October of last year.
With the number of women taking up senior roles in established business and starting up their own enterprises on the increase, the initiative was established specifically to support female business leaders.
Overt the past 12 months BWC has built a reputation as a partner for women that understands their needs and offers relevant support.
It offers a mix of online and local support, aimed at offering help and a greater understanding of the challenges faced by women starting, running or managing a business.
In her presentation, Ms Kingston will outline the evolution of Business Women Can and the key reasons why it was established.
She will also speak about working with external ambassadors, the specific supports available to females in business and give details about the women-led category of Ulster Bank's annual Business Achievers Awards.
Admission to the information and networking event is free but places must be booked in advance.
