The Brendan Martin did a tour of the parish last weekend on Saturday night and Sunday! There were a good number of the Cork Senior team present along with our very own local stars, Roisin, Ciara, Brid and Doireann O'Sullivan. The cup visited Bottlehill, Conways of Burnfort and Derrys on Saturday night and they had a great welcome in each venue.
On Sunday, the cup visited the Community Centre where there was a large crowd gathered to welcome our local girls and the Brendan Martin cup. Donal Fitzpatrick, Club Chairman, congratulated the girls on yet another successful year and thanked the four girls for being such good ambassadors in the community. Donal also congratulated the other Cork representatives in the club from U14 upwards and thanked the coaches and mentors for being such a big part of the development of the club. The following represented Cork from the club: U14 Laura Crowley, Jolene Forde and Aisling O'Sullivan; U16 Maedhbh O'Sullivan and Eimear Meaney; U18 Maire O'Callaghan, Miriam O'Callaghan and Doireann O'Sullivan; Senior B Eimear Harringon. There were plenty of opportunities for photos with the Brendan Martin and it's hosts afterwards. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the occasion. The kids were also well catered for with face painting and kids disco! It was a great occasion for the club so thanks to everyone for coming along!
