Golf - Boherbue Golf Society played the Captain's (Dr David Heffernan) Prize recently in ideal weather conditions with the course perfect for a good contest.

Boherbue Junior "A" footballers face a big task at Cullen this Friday night when they play Dromtariffe in the Duhallow Championship at 7.15pm.
Boher will be without the services of John Corkery, who is on the injured list and will be a huge loss.
Even though Boher have defeated this Dromtariffe side three times so far this season, they will have to be on their guard and play exceptionally well to win a place in this year's final.
One of Boherbue's well-known licensed premises, the Corner House, has reopened under the management of Darren McCormack and Ann Marie O'Donoghue, who resides at Ballyhoulihan.
It will be open daily from 10.30am and 12.30pm on Sundays. We wish them well in their new venture.
The weekly 45 Drive was well attended on Sunday night last. The following is a list of the lucky winners.

Comhaltas Weekly Seisiún commenced in the Heritage Centre, Freemount on Wednesday night, July 12, Our special guests on Wednesday night next August 16 is a group of seven male singers from Bruff in Co. Limerick called Wild Oats. Don't miss this very special group of singers next Wednesday night.
We also have a huge lineup of music song and dance and storytelling each night as usual. Admission €10 including the usual tea.We run each Wednesday night, at 8.30 p.m. till August 30 Please make a note of the date, tell all your friends and make sure you are there, especially on Wednesday night next.
The Thursday Club
The next outing of the Thursday Club will be held on this Thursday, August 10, The Outing will take in a visit to Foynes Flying Boat Museum and Listowel etc. The Bus will leave Freemount Community Centre at 9 a.m. Everybody welcome. The junior B hurlers and footballers have been active in the last couple of weeks. The junior B hurlers lost an exciting game to Banteer by a point and the footballers defeated Glenlara by three points and lost to Ballydesmond by a similar margin.
The GAA camp for 6-13 year olds takes place in Freemount and Meelin from August 14 to August 18.

Couch to 5km returns to the Glencara GAA grounds field and track on Monday next, August 20. It will run three nights weekly (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) at 8pm each night. Beginners and advanced runners are welcome. Start easy and work your way up to 5km in this social and fun walk/jog.
