High praise for 'Sharon's Grave' eases festival disappointment

Charleville's Shoestring Theatre Company's production of John B. Keane's 'Sharon's Grave' failed to make the final of the All-Ireland Drama Festival in Athlone despite staging a tremendous presentation of the play and receiving terrific audience reaction at every festival they played, as evidenced by a review the group got from no less a literary luminary than poet Gabriel Fitzmaurice, the author of more than 50 books and broadcasts regularly on radio and television on theatre and arts.
