€23,000 for cystic fibrosis

THE proceeds of the recent fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis (which is now in excess of €23,000) will be presented to Mr. Joe Browne, chairman of the Build4life Project, in The Glen Theatre, Banteer on Thursday, Dec. 27th at 12.30pm. Everybody welcome.
The Banteer Ladies Football Club table quiz is on Saturday at 9:30pm in The White Country Inn.
The final 2012 development draw was held on Sunday last with the following winners: €400 - Seamus O'Keeffe, €200 to Duhallow AC and Tadgh O Keeffe Junior, €100 each to Padraig Buckley and John Tynan; Twohigs Vouchers to Jerry Murphy and Cathal/Sharon Cotter, Box chocolates to Tony Boyce, Meelin GAA club and Mike/Maria Foley, Coolroemore.
Many thanks to all members who supported the 2012 draw and this funding along with IRD Duhallow and Cork County Council grants has helped complete a lot of work this year, including spectator stand renovation, new dug outs, solar water heating system, pitch maintenance and a new hurling wall as well as maintenance of the facility.
The Committee hopes to do further works next year including Outdoor Gym equipment, carpark area (thanks to support of IRD grants) as well as pitch drainage works and ask that all clubs, joggers, walkers etc that use the facility support the fundraising draw again in 2013 costing €100p/a.
The group welcome the Sports Capital grant of €22,000 announced by Aine Collins TD recently. Wishing all our supporters a Happy Christmas.
