It not only keeps employment in your town it can also create employment. Local businesses support other local businesses by buying their produce. Local business owners also invest in the community by means of sponsorship to local clubs and interests and have a vested interest in the future of the town. It also introduces an environmental angle by reducing your carbon footprint in the community.
