Move to set up Duhallow Coder Dojo
Published 30/05/2013 | 05:26
IRD Duhallow is looking at establishing a Coder Dojo club during the month of July for children aged 8-13 years old, initially.
Coder Dojo is a global movement providing free and open learning to young people, especially in computer programming and coding - with a strong focus on fun.
This club would enable children to learn code, develop apps, games websites and much more.
Through Coder Dojo, young people learn important skills that will benefit them in the future, specifically within the software industry.
Coder Dojo encourages children to share their knowledge, doubts and ideas. It enables likeminded youths to interact in a cool environment to develop their own programmes and games.
Anyone interested in attending or seeking further information on this Duhallow initiatve should contact Helen at 029-60633.
