Local businesses in the spotlight in new magazine

A NEW Mallow magazine is promoting local businesses to a wider audience.

The North Cork Business Alliance was set up as a referral network for business people in the North Cork Region.

The group meet weekly to exchange referrals, support each other and to benefit from internal and external business training.

The group consists of sole traders, micro businesses and SME's who are dedicated to improving the local and national economy.

A few months ago the idea for the magazine was raised with the primary focus being to promote the members of the group not only in their own town but in the North Cork Area as a whole.

A committee was established and the idea grew into the finished product.

The magazine was officially launched on Friday last with Minister Sean Sherlock in attendance.

The magazine consists of articles contributed by each member of the group, the aims and ideals of the group and also a business directory with contact details of each member and even a photograph of the member - it is always nice to put a face to a name.

With its bright, attractive cover it is sure to grab the reader's attention.

The magazine will be distributed around the North Cork area from Mallow to Macroom and maybe even further afield by the members of the group.
