Park flying high with first KiteFest

Kite fans Kate Barry, Aoife O'Connor, from Ovens, and Lily O'Sullivan, Midleton, all set for KiteFest at Millstreet Country Park on Sunday, September 22, for their very first charity KiteFest in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research.

KITE fans, kite flyers and families alike are convening on Millstreet Country Park on Sunday, September 22 for the initial charity KiteFest in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research.

From kite flying demos and a kite making workshop, to pipe bands, a bouncy castle, face painting, and a colouring competition, the variety of activities taking place are sure to blow everyone away.

Visitors are being encouraged to bring their own kites on the day.

Millstreet Country Park will be donating all proceeds from their €20 per car entrance fee to Breakthrough Cancer Research. The event will run from 1pm to 5pm with activities commencing at 2pm.
