THIS Friday night will see the crowds winding their merry way to the Fermoy Community Centre's Palace Theatre on Ashe Quay where the opening show of the long awaited panto "The Sleeping Beauty" will happen at 8pm.
The Christmas panto season in Fermoy has always had a certain magic of its own.
This year it will be directed by a local man who only a few short years ago was cutting his teeth as a young player in some of these shows.
Today, Killian Collins - who is well known to audiences in Cork Opera House - will be the director of operations at the Palace, where the show will also be performed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2.30pm and again on both nights at 8pm.
If you cannot get there this weekend there will a repeat performance on the following weekend commencing on Friday Jan 17th and continuing on Sat and Sunday 18/19th Jan.
Word from the Palace says that tickets are selling very fast and if you want yours you should not waste time in contacting the community centre on 025/32042 or call in person to the Youth Centre or to the Fermoy Book Shop, 2 Pearse Square.
