Oliver gets a Twist

The Transition Year students of CBS Secondary School Charleville staged their annual end of year musical show 'Oliver' with a Twist before appreciative audiences at the local community hall last week.

The two-hour musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale was acted out by the cast of 21 pupils wiht Eimhin Sheehan playing Oliver, while Hugh Moore was Fagin and Lawrence King played Bill Sykes. The show was directed by music teacher Catherine Horgan and actor Martin Lucey.

The other members of the cast were, Thomas Carroll (Dodger), William Howard (Charlie Bates), Conor Galvin (Nancy), Thomas Manning (Beth), Ciaran Haugh (Mr. Bumble), Andrew O'Neill (Mrs. Bumble), Billy Millar (Mr. Brownlow), Jack O'Dwyer (Noah Claypole), Sean Sexton (Mrs. Sowerberry), Ben Leahy (Mr. Sowerberry), Mikey Byrnes (Charlotte), Jack Duhig (Mrs. Bedwin), Shane Madigan (Doctor), Odhran Hennessy (Noah's understudy), Mark Crowley (Mr. Brownlow's understudy), Darren Fitzgibbon (Bill Sykes's understudy), Sean Galvin (Charlotte's understudy), Darragh O'Callaghan (doctor's understudy).
