THE director of the Shoestring Theatre Company Kevin O'Shea is certainly not leaving the grass grow under his feet, for with his latest production, Eugene O'Brien's 'Eden' opening its ten night run at the Schoolyard Theatre on Wednesday of this week.
He has already planned rehearsals for his next play, 'The Will be Done,' a hilarious comedy by Michael Carey.
Booking is brisk for 'Eden' which comes with an over 18's only warning, due to the adult nature of its content. The play stars the experienced William Lyons and Katie Holly and indications are that it will attract capacity houses over the course of its run at the Schoolyard.
"It takes two brilliant actors to carry this play, which is an excellent piece of writing by Eugene O'Brien, and we have them in Katie and William, who do the play more than justice and I think that patrons will acknowledge this when they see the production, said the director, Kevin O'Shea. Booking is at 087-2530955.
'Eden' is also the Shoestring's play on the festival circuit this year and they will perform at seven festivals throughout Ireland over the month of March starting with the Kerry Drama Festival in Castleisland in their bid to contest the All-Ireland final in Athlone in May.
