A TRADITIONAL Mid Cork festival is set to return next week after its successful revival last year.
Courtbrack Harvest Festival is set to tie in with The Gathering Initiative following last year's triumphant comeback, and promises a range of events to appeal to locals and beyond.
Proceedings get underway next Wednesday, August 28 with a 5km Family Fun Run and Walk, which is open to everybody and takes in a well-known walking loop around Courtbrack, about five miles from Blarney Village.
On Friday night local people will host some of their family and friends as part of the "Come Dine With Us - Our Gathering" at Courtbrack Community Centre while the Festival Barbeque in Browne's Bar, Newcastle (near Blarney) takes place on Saturday night, where promoters are promising dancing and live music from the well-known Pacific Blue.
The Old Time Threshing and Vintage Display organised by Courtbrack Vintage Society wraps up proceedings on Sunday, complimented by a Country Market, Tug of War competition and Family Fun Day.
All funds raised over the course of the Harvest Festival will go towards the renovation of Courtbrack Community Centre.
