Boher, Buttevant, Millstreet fly the Rebel flag at finals

CORK teams will put their best foot forward in music, song and dance in the hotly competitive Airtricity Munster Scór Sinsear Finals in Templemore this Saturday evening.

Clubs from across the province will perform in diverse traditional arts in the GAA's cultural competition.

Saturday's showpiece follows the semi-finals hosted in Mallow last month which saw excellent fare emerge for the sell out decider.

As usual, Cork has a strong representation, with North Cork to the fore.

Boherbue are doubly represented. First out of traps is the Figure Dance quartet of Amanda O'Sullivan, Emma Fitzgerald, Katie Hickey, Hannah O'Sullivan. For good measure, Boherbue are represented in Set Dancing by Katie Hickey, Emma Fitzgerald, Amanda O'Sullivan, Hannah O'Sulliva, Billy Herlihy, Timmy Collins, Daniel Murphy and Michael Buckley

Courcey Rovers Lisa O'Donovan is sure to raise the cheers from the her Carrigdhoun supporters.

Buttevant promise to deliver a rousing display of tunes in the Instrumental Music with a team of Alan Finn. Mairead Fitzgibbon, Aileen O'Callaghan, Anna Barrett and Ger Naughton, who have a splendid repertoire.

Tracton's Paddy O'Brien returns to familar ground in the demanding Recitation category.

Millstreet hopes rest with Jerry Doody, Pat Sheehan and John Tarrant in question time.

Meanwhile, a Bride Rovers Novelty Act of William O'Leary, James Bermingham, John Arnold, Betty Cahill, Daniel Lane, Johnathon Brackett and Marie Gubbins took delight on their advancement onto the provincial series.
