Banishing the blues in Ballincollig
FIONN Regan and Gemma Hayes are just two of the acts lined up for the fourth annual Ballincollig Winter Music Festival, which will take place once again at the White Horse venue.
The three day celebration of music will see music aficionados travel to Ballincollig to see Grammy and Mercury Award nominated artists performing from this Friday to Sunday, January 25-27.
Roots and Americana will kick start the annual festival on the Friday night, featuring world renowned musicians Dirk Powell, Riley Baugus and Aoife O'Donovan.
The following night sees two of Ireland's finest contemporary performers unite for a unique double bill. Choice Music Prize nominee, a Mercury Prize nominee and a Shortlist Music Prize nominee Fionn Regan will be joined by Mercury award nominee and Best Irish Female Meteor award winner Gemma Hayes.
Two time Grammy nominee Iarla Ó'Lionáird joins forces with guitar virtuoso Steve Cooney to bring the festival to a close on Sunday and they will be joined by special guests Dermot Byrne and Floriane Blancke.
All headline concerts will take place at the Upstairs at The White Horse venue and tickets are available from the bar and online at www.whitehorse.ie.
The Ballincollig Winter Music Festival also offers a programme with free music sessions as well as a late night festival club, music workshops and community music projects.
